bite sized everything cookies with sea salt

Okay, so these might not be the healthiest cookies in the world (with the whole processed instant pudding mix) but they're SOOOOO good :) Plus if you add wheat germ (which I generally do to all my baking) you'll feel like they're good for you.

Bite sized Sweet & Salty Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 C flour
1 t. baking soda
1 T wheat germ (not needed if you don’t have it on hand – just adds a bit of a health boost!)
1 C butter, softened
3/4 C packed light brown sugar
1/4 C white sugar
1 (3.4 ounce) package instant pudding mix (any flavor I used the fat free sugar free instant cheesecake for this one)
1 t. vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 C oatmeal
1 C semisweet chocolate chips
1 C butterscotch chips
1/2 C toasted slivered almonds (spread on pan while oven is preheating let bake for approx 10 minutes or so – when I start to smell them, I know they’re done, just don’t let them burn!)
1/2 t. sea salt

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Combine the flour, baking soda & wheat germ. Set aside.
Mix the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, pudding mix, and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Add the eggs and mix well. Gradually stir in the flour mixture. Stir in the oatmeal, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, almonds and sea salt. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets about 1 inch apart.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes approx. 100 bite sized cookies – oh and feel free to add whatever the heck else you have in your kitchen!

Those are the sweet & salty chocolate chip cookies you can find on cookinglight.com. I'm sure I'll get to them eventually on here!

Just made these today - very yummy. I didn't have any sea salt - does that make them taste different? And yes, I will probably try a non-dessert recipe sometime. :)

Oh yay, how'd you like them Shalimar? The sea salt just adds an unexpected note to the cookies -the whole sweet & salty combination... Sea salt is my favorite thing to add to desserts.
